The Danbury Whalers were an American ice hockey team from Danbury , Connecticut . The team played in the Federal Hockey League between 2010 and 2015 .

history

The Danbury Whalers franchise was founded in early 2010 as one of the six founding members of the Federal Hockey League.

The Danbury Whalers played their home games in the Danbury Ice Arena with a capacity of 2,212.

In the 2012/13 season , the Whalers reached their sporting climax by winning the FHL championship.

In April 2015, the Whalers' lease was not renewed by the management of the Danbury Ice Arena, so they dissolved and were later replaced by the Danbury Titans .
