The Delaware Federals were an American ice hockey team . The team played in the Federal Hockey League in the 2011/12 season .

history

The franchise of the Delaware Federals was added to the Federal Hockey League during the 2011/12 season to continue the schedule of the Vermont Wild, which had already been disbanded at an early stage . It was planned that the team should play their home games in the Center Ice Rink of the Delaware State Fair in Harrington, but this project failed. For this reason, the Federals only played away games. A special feature was that in addition to a few permanent members of the team at the respective venue, the majority of the team was composed of local players at very short notice. Out of nine games, only one could be won, with the first official game of the Federals away at the Cape Cod Bluefins on December 16, 2011 with 0:18 was lost. After there was still no solution for a home ground, the team was dissolved in 2012.
