The Vermont Wild were an American ice hockey team based in Morrisville , Vermont . The team played in the Federal Hockey League in the 2011/12 season .
history
The franchise was originally supposed to be called Green Mountain Rock Crushers, but was eventually accepted under the name Vermont Wild for the 2011/12 season as an expansion team in the Federal Hockey League . This made the Wild the first and so far only professional ice hockey franchise in Vermont. After just ten games, the team stopped playing on November 25, 2011 with immediate effect. Then the FHL founded a team with the Delaware Federals , which continued the game schedule of the Vermont Wild, but only played away due to the lack of an own arena.
The Vermont Wild played their home games in the 1,000-seat Green Mountain Arena.
