The Brooklyn Aviators were an American ice hockey team from New York City ( Brooklyn ). The team played in the Federal Hockey League from 2010 to 2012 .
history
The franchise was founded in 2009 as New York Aviators and then took part in the North East Professional Hockey League, which was held for the first time and consisted of only three teams and dissolved after a year. The Aviators won their championship. They then became one of the six founding members of the Federal Hockey League in 2010 . In their premiere season , the team finished the regular season with 66 points from 47 encounters in first place and then made it into the finals of the playoffs, in which the Aviators were defeated in four encounters by the Akwesasne Warriors . For the 2011/12 season , the team was renamed Brooklyn Aviators. At the end of the season, the team stopped playing.
The Brooklyn Aviators played their home games in the 2,500-seat Aviator Sports and Recreation.
