Zellhausen from the west

The hamlet of Zellhausen is part of the municipality of Freising in Upper Bavaria.

Zellhausen is located about three kilometers north of the center of Freising, only a few hundred meters southeast of Tüntenhausen . The rule over Zellhausen was controversial for several centuries. In 1643 it was determined that Zellhausen belongs to the truce of the city of Freising and thus to the Hochstift Freising and not to Bavaria. This status was retained in Bavaria until secularization . From 1818 Zellhausen was part of the municipality of Tüntenhausen. This community was incorporated into the district town of Freising on July 1, 1972.
