Gartelshausen is a wasteland and part of the large district town of Freising in Upper Bavaria .
Gartelshausen is 4.5 km west of the city center of Freising. Neighboring places are Hohenbachern , Kleinbachern , Pellhausen , Vötting .
The place is located on the edge of the slope at the transition from the hill country to the Freisinger Moos, which lies in the Munich gravel plain.
history
From the tax district Vötting , the municipality of the same name was formed in 1818 with the municipality parts Dürnast , Gartelshausen, Hohenbachern , Kleinbachern , Plantage , Vötting and Weihenstephan . On April 1, 1937, the municipality of Vötting was dissolved. Dürnast, Weihenstephan, Plantage and Vötting were reclassified into the Freising district. Gartelshausen came to the community of Sünzhausen together with Hohenbachers and Kleinbachers . With the dissolution of the community of Sünzhausen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Gartelshausen became a district of the city of Freising on July 1, 1972.
