Mill and bakery Doering Schwarzbach

The Doering grinding mill was a classic court mill in the Elterlein district of Schwarzbach in the Saxon Erzgebirgskreis . The first owner was mentioned in 1531. Today the mill is the stop on the “Mill Tour on Silberstraße”.

history

The mill was originally a court mill, because building a mill was first and foremost the responsibility of the village judge . The settled settlers at the end of the Middle Ages mainly cultivated grain on their land, so a grinding mill was necessary because bread was the most important food of the time.
