The district of Münichtal (also: Münichthal ) is a settlement and cadastral community of Eisenerz in Styria .

The former miners' settlement in Eisenerzer Münichtal developed into a suburb of Eisenerz. The Österreichisch-Alpine Montangesellschaft operated several blast furnaces and a gas-fired power plant here until the 1980s , which the cinder cone is still evidence of today .

In the course of the construction of the research and training facility Zentrum am Berg by 2020, the settlement will be redesigned into a quarter for practitioners and emergency services with around a thousand beds.
