The Münster Journal of Mathematics is a mathematical journal in which research papers from all areas of pure and applied mathematics appear. It is published by the Mathematical Institutes of the University of Münster .

The magazine was founded in 2008 and has been published annually in one volume since then. It replaces the series of publications of the Mathematisches Institut Münster , which was founded in 1948 by Heinrich Behnke and continued by Reinhold Remmert , George Maltese and Christopher Deninger . The magazine appears both in print and electronically. All articles are freely available in full text in PDF format. According to the Mathematical Reviews , the journal has a citation index (Mathematical Citation Quotient) of 0.88 in 2012 .
