The Münster Regattaverein e. V. (MRV) is a non-profit association for the promotion of rowing in Münster and organizes rowing regattas on the Münster Aasee annually .

In addition to the board and some founding members, the two largest rowing clubs, ARC zu Münster and Rowing Club Münster von 1882 (RVM), are members of the MRV. It was founded in 1988. It is also a member of the German Rowing Association and the North Rhine-Westphalian Rowing Association .

history

Since 1970 the rowing club in Münster has been the sole organizer of the Aaseeregatta. Conceived as an early test for the young rowers, the Aaseeregatta established itself within the region and also attracted clubs beyond the borders of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 1988, the regatta club was finally founded together with the ARC zu Münster, which is based at the Münsteraner Schleuse, in order to be able to manage the regattas jointly from now on.

In addition to several North Rhine-Westphalian state championships, German large boat championships in 2007 and 2013, German university and sprint championships were held on the regatta course, which is up to 2000 meters long . In 2009, the Aasee in Münster was also the first venue for the new rowing Bundesliga .

In 2018 the regatta club celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Carrion gatta

The regatta club organizes the annual Aaseeregatta every year. Due to the scheduling at the end of April and beginning of May, it represents an initial determination of the position in the regatta calendar after the winter training.
