The Münzbergtor (formerly also the Münzenbergtor ) is a side gate of the Ingolstadt city wall .

The gate was built around 1390 as part of the city expansion that took place in the second half of the 14th century. The name of the multi-storey building goes back to the fortress builder Reinhard Graf Solms, Mr. zu Münzberg. The exposed brick building is covered with a tent roof and was the southwest exit from the city, only about 50 meters from the Danube . During the expansion of the Ingolstadt fortress in the 16th century, both the Münzberg Kavalier and the Münzberg bastion were placed in front of the Münzberg Gate , but there are no remains of them. Today the Münzbergtor is privately owned.
