Mürnseer

Mürnseer is a manufacturer of harps , chopping boards and zithers based in Kitzbühel (Tyrol) in Austria . The company is the largest string instrument manufacturer in Austria and one of the best-known folk harp makers.

history

The company was founded in 1956 by the trained carpenter Benedikt Mürnseer. Today his son Peter, together with some employees , produces hook harps , single pedal harps (Tyrolean folk harps), chopping boards and zithers of high quality that have achieved worldwide fame.
