Mıgırdıç Şellefyan

Mıgırdıç Şellefyan (* 1914 in Adapazarı ; † December 10, 1987 ) was a Turkish businessman and politician of Armenian origin.

Life

Şellefyan trained as a trader. Later he became chairman of the trustee board of the Armenian community and a member of the İstanbul city council. In the Turkish parliamentary elections in 1957 , he was elected to the Grand National Assembly for İstanbul .

In the 1960s, Mıgırdıç Şellefyan was close to Prime Minister Süleyman Demirel and his family. He won the contract to build Gaziantep Airport and ran a furniture export business with Süleyman Demirel's nephew, Yahya Demirel.

Şellefyan was married and had two children.
