Signaling system 90
The signaling system 90 ( MAS90 ) from Deutsche Bahn is a system for the transmission and display of data from various hazard warning systems in the German rail network. This system is used, for example, to transmit fire or intrusion reports from electronic interlockings as well as air conditioning or power supply failures from these to the responsible authorities. X.25 is used as the transmission technology.
Due to its classification as a hazard reporting system, MAS90 is subject to monitoring by the Federal Railway Authority under German railway law .
The successor to the MAS90 is the DBMAS .
Examples of monitored systems
- Hot box detection systems in the track area
- Wind detection systems on bridges or dams
- Air flow detection systems in railway tunnels
- Escape door surveillance in railway tunnels
- Tunnel safety lighting
- Air conditioning systems in electronic signal boxes
- Power supply systems for electronic signal boxes
