DB signaling system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The DB alarm system ( DBMAS ) is a system for monitoring and controlling hazard alarm systems in the area of Deutsche Bahn .

It is the successor to the DOS -based MAS90 system from the 1990s. In terms of the administrative regulation for the construction supervision of signaling, telecommunication and electrotechnical systems (VV BAU-STE), it is a central system for guidance and control tasks for operational monitoring .

The DBMAS system is used to transmit digital information about hazard reports in the Deutsche Bahn network. It transmits e.g. B. status information and alarms from intrusion and fire alarm systems, alarms from hot runner and locked brake detection systems as well as information about malfunctions in technical facilities of DB Netz AG to the relevant authorities.

Information displayed on the operator stations can be simple instructions such as B. contain instructions to commission a fault clearance, but also direct orders to stop a train as quickly as possible in the event of a corresponding hazard.

Until the summer of 2017, DBMAS was subject to control and approval by the Federal Railway Authority as a hazard alarm system . With the revision of Annex 1.7 of VV BAU-STE in August 2017, DBMAS was placed under the approval procedure of DB Netz AG.

construction

The DBMAS consists of a DBMAS central computer, which is located in the operations center of the respective regional area or the S-Bahn Berlin (also planned: Central interlocking of the S-Bahn Hamburg ), an NTP server that receives the DCF77 time signal , provides, and operator station computers in the responsible interlockings as well as the technical monitoring (TÜ, formerly called the authority responsible for fault clearance (EVZS)), which replace the central reporting and registration units of the MAS90, as well as MAS90 converters. The communication connections are to be implemented exclusively via the telecommunications infrastructure owned by DB. No systems have yet been released for direct connection to the DBMAS, which is why all messages run via MAS90 rings, the X.25 network and the MAS90 converter.

In the meantime, DBMAS (in version 1.5.3) can also be connected to the control system for operational management, technical route monitoring part "operational hazard alarm systems" (LeiTfü-G) or integrated into the BZ standard operator station (SBP-N). The latest release for this was carried out by DB Netz AG by means of two technical notifications (TM 4-2016-10615 I.NPS4 and TM 1-2016-10612 I.NPS4, both with version 2 September 2016) (release for use as Hazard alarm system in version 1.5.3HF1).

Nomenclatures

Overall DBMAS systems are made up of various components and sub-areas, which are represented in a relatively unmanageable structure.

MAS90 ring

A MAS90 ring consists of an X.25 network for data transmission and a MAS90 central unit. Both together are called "ring".

X.25 network

An X.25 network is the infrastructure for data transmission within MAS90 rings and - after appropriate migration - continues to be used within DBMAS.

DBMAS network

A DBMAS network is the combination of a DBMAS headquarters (per region), migrated X.25 networks and newly established IP networks.

DBMAS subnet

The systems and locations combined on a MAS90 converter pair and / or switch are considered a subnet. In this respect, a DBMAS sub-network can cover the same system / terminal area that was previously covered by a MAS90 ring - but it can also represent a kind of combination of several former MAS90 rings or just parts of them.

In the meantime, the language and notation of subnetworks in DBMAS has established itself in a somewhat expanded form. The term "subnetwork 41" in "DBMAS network 05" (RB Mitte) is no longer used, but rather "subnetwork 05-41". The "number of the center" is also recorded in addition to the actual subnetwork number and the assignment of the subnetwork to a center is also displayed.

Advanced training

Training courses for DBMAS are offered by DB-Training and carried out by the manufacturer of the system.
