MC Lars
Andrew Robert Nielsen (born October 6, 1982 Berkeley , California ) is an American rapper , known by his stage name MC Lars. Although he is a representative of nerdcore , he describes his music as "post-punk laptop rap" and himself as the inventor of this genre.
Career
Nielsen has worked with many different artists, including Non Phixion ’s Ill Bill and rapper mc chris , and was one of the first underground rappers to incorporate post-punk and emo bands into his songs. Before 2004 he performed under the name MC Lars Horris, but changed the name because "Horris" was obviously spelled or pronounced incorrectly by fans and the press. In 2010 Nielsen acted as the opening act for Zebrahead , who started their Snapping Necks and Cashing Checks Tour in Europe.

In 2006 he released the single Download This Song , it rose in the "Australian Singles Charts" at number 29.
