The MC Nordstern Stralsund is a motorsport club from Stralsund . The club specializes primarily in speedways sports. The association currently has 62 members. From 2004 to 2006 the MC Nordstern was represented in the Speedway Bundesliga . The final of the German championship was reached there in the 2005 season. Stralsund finally came fourth. In addition, MC Nordstern Stralsund took part in the Speedway Bundesliga in 2010 and 2011.

The MC Nordstern Stralsund was founded in April 1958 with 150 members. On May 4, 1958, the first race was held in front of 20,000 spectators in the newly built Paul Greifzu Stadium . The stadium is now part of the club and can hold a maximum of 16,000 spectators.

The club has been organizing the Baltic Sea Cup, a speedway team comparison, and the Stralsund Nikolauspokal since 1968 . In addition, the organization and implementation of the U-19 European Championship in the Speedway 2008 was in the hands of MC Nordstern. In 2009 he hosted a quarter-finals for the European Speedway Championship . In 2010 the MC Nordstern hosted the European Speedway Seniors Couple European Championship. In 2011 the club drivers Tobias Busch , Mathias Schultz and Roberto Haupt were part of the German national speedway team and thus made up two-thirds of the team for the team World Cup semi-finals.
