MEX. the marktmagazin is a business and consumer magazine of the Hessischer Rundfunk . It was first broadcast on January 16, 1984.

Framework conditions and content

The current broadcasting slot is on wednesdays at 8:15 p.m. on hr-fernsehen . The program will be moderated by Claudia Schick , directed by Thomas Hütsch . The program provides information on current developments in consumer protection , health or labor law issues, IT security issues and financial matters. According to the company's own presentation, the goal is to “uncover grievances, get to the bottom of annoyances and point out conflicts”. In the "Ask" experts take from the respective fields on current topics, such as in "Ask Stellpflug" the chief editor of the magazine Öko-Test , Jürgen Stellpflug , or "Ask Schreiber" the IT expert Sebastian Schreiber .

Until May 2015, the “e” was displayed as the euro symbol (€) in the program title and logo, and the program title is now officially MEX. the marktmagazin , whereby the logo in the television broadcasts is shown in lower case (and now without the euro symbol) as “mex”, in line with the other programs on hr television; the euro symbol is in a superscript circle to the right of it. Nevertheless, the old “m € x” logo can still be found in some places.
