M 1-92 , also known as Minkowski's footprint , is a protoplanetary nebula in the constellation Swan . The bipolar nebula has a special shape in the form of two lobes that are formed by emitted material from the central star. Rudolph Minkowski reported on the discovery of the nebula in 1946.
