Małgorzata Adamkiewicz

Małgorzata Adamkiewicz (* 1966) is a Polish entrepreneur. She holds management positions in the Polish pharmaceutical group Grupa Adamed and - with her husband Maciej Adamkiewicz - is one of the richest Poles. The couple's fortunes were estimated at around 275 million euros in the annually updated list of the rich in the Polish edition of Forbes magazine in 2013, placing the couple in 17th place on this list.

Life

The doctor (doctorate in 2000) studied at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Warsaw Medical University and at the Stockholm University of Commerce . She worked for ten years in the Endocrinology Clinic of the Warsaw Center for Postgraduate Studies ( Centrum Medycznego Kształcenia Podyplomowego w Warszawie ). She has been working for Adamed since 1998 , initially part-time (alongside her work at the clinic) and later full-time. As medical director she was responsible for setting up the research and development department at Adamed . Małgorzata Adamkiewicz is Director General (Dyrektor Generalny) of the Adamed Group and a member of the Board of Directors of Adamed Pharma SA . At Adamed Consumer Healthcare SA she is a member of the supervisory board and at Pabianickie Zakłady Farmaceutyczne Polfa SA she is the chairman of the supervisory board.

Adamkiewicz is a member of the International Society of Endocrinology ( endocrinology ). It appears at national and international specialist congresses. In the “Liderzy Biznesu” ranking of the Polish edition of Forbes in 2010, she was listed in third place - together with her husband.

The Adamkiewiczs don't just invest in their pharmaceuticals business. The couple built the four-star hotel "Narvil" in Serock . The conference and spa hotel, which is located in nature near the Narew , has 332 rooms, 32 conference rooms (one 1650 square meter room can accommodate 1000 participants), a bowling alley and restaurants.
