Ma Dai (General)

Ma Dai (馬岱) was a general under Ma Teng , Ma Chao and later under the Shu Han to the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China.

He was a nephew of Ma Teng. When Cao Cao called him to the capital, he followed him, but was able to avoid Cao Cao's attack. He then stayed with his cousin Ma Chao and fought with him at the Tong Gate against Cao Cao. After their defeat, both went to Liu Bei to serve him.

In the turmoil after Zhuge Liang's death ( 234 ), Ma Dai served under Wei Yan . When Wei Yan claimed the successor as regent, Ma Dai and the other NCOs attacked and killed him. For this, Ma Dai was rewarded with the command of Hanzhong , which Wei Yan had previously held.
