Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. ( Chinese 马鞍山 钢铁 股份有限公司 , Pinyin Mǎ'ānshān gāngtiě gǔfènyǒuxiàngōngsī ) is a Chinese state-owned company based in Ma'anshan , Anhui Province .
The company is headed by Gu Jianguo. It emerged in 1993 as a spin-off from an iron and steel combine that had existed since 1958. The rest of the combine continues to exist as Magang (Group) Holding Company . In 2015, 18.8 million tons of steel were produced.
