Stefan Attefall

Stefan Attefall (born August 21, 1960 in Lycksele , Västerbotten County ) is a Swedish Christian Democrat politician . He was Minister for Public Administration and Housing from 2010 to 2014.

Life

Attefall studied political science and national economy and graduated with a bachelor's degree. From 1986 to 1989 he was chairman of the Christian Democratic youth organization and from 1989 to 1991 editor-in-chief of the party newspaper.

The journalist was elected to the Swedish Parliament for the first time in 1991 for the province of Jönköpings län . In 1994 he could not return to the Reichstag and worked again for the Christian Democrats. Since 1998 Attefall was again a member of parliament for the Christian Democrats and from 2006 to 2010 their group leader. At the same time he chaired the finance committee of the Reichstag.

After the 2010 election , Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt appointed him Minister for Public Administration and Housing.

Attefall promotes the construction of side houses (25 m²) for everyone without great administrative effort.
