Maud Olofsson
Maud Elisabeth Olofsson (* 9. August 1955 in Arnäsvall , municipality of Örnsköldsvik as Maud Elisabeth Olsson ) is a Swedish politician . She has been a member of the Swedish parliament since 2002 . Maud Olofsson was Chairwoman of the Centerpartiet (March 19, 2001 to September 23, 2011) and Swedish Minister for Economic Affairs (October 6, 2006 to September 29, 2011). From 2006 to 2010 she was also Vice Prime Minister.
Reichstag election and change of government in 2006
Together with Fredrik Reinfeldt, the top candidate of the civil alliance for Sweden ( Moderata samlingspartiet , Kristdemokraterna , Centerpartiet and Folkpartiet liberalerna ), she competed against Göran Persson . The "Alliance" succeeded in bringing about a change of power. In Reinfeldt's government, Olofsson took over the title of Vice Prime Minister as head of the second largest party in the coalition and also headed the Ministry of Economic Affairs. In the Reichstag elections on September 19, 2010 Folkpartiet received more votes than Centerpartiet, so that Jan Björklund took over the office of Vice Prime Minister.
