Jan Arne Björklund (born April 18, 1962 in Skene , Mark municipality , Västra Götalands län ) is a Swedish politician ( Liberalerna ).

After his election to the Reichstag in 2006, he became Minister for School Issues in the Fredrik Reinfeldt government in the same year and was head of the Ministry of Education from 2007 until the change of government in 2014. On September 7, 2007, he was elected party chairman of the liberal Folkpartiet liberalerna (FP) and succeeded Lars Leijonborg . In the Reichstag elections on September 19, 2010, the party received more votes than the Centerpartiet , so that Jan Björklund took over the post of Deputy Prime Minister from Maud Olofsson on October 5, 2010 and kept it until 2014.
