Eskil Erlandsson

Lars Anders Eskil Erlandsson (* 25. January 1957 in församling Torpa , municipality of Ljungby , Kronoberg County , Småland ) is a Swedish politician of Centerpartiet .

From 1978 to 1979 Eskil Erlandsson completed an apprenticeship as a farmer and, in 1981, also took an exam as a master farmer . Between 1989 and 1992 he also studied at the University of Växjö .

In 1977 Erlandsson worked as a farm and forest worker. In 1979 and 1982 he worked as ombudsman , in between each farmer.

From 1983 Erlandsson was the municipal råd of Ljungby . He held this office until his election to the Swedish Reichstag in 1994. In the Reichstag he was a member of the Committee on Tax Law, the Environment and Agriculture Committee and the Industry Committee.

On October 6, 2006, Erlandsson was appointed Minister of Agriculture in the Fredrik Reinfeldt government. His title was changed in 2010 and Erlandsson was now Minister for Rural Affairs until the end of the Reinfeldt government's reign in 2014.

In March 2019, he resigned from the Reichstag after he was accused of inappropriate behavior towards female Reichstag members. However, the Tingsrätt Stockholm acquitted Erlandsson in December 2019 of the allegation of sexual harassment.

Eskil Erlandsson is married and has a son and a daughter.
