Erik Jörgen Carl Ullenhag (born July 20, 1972 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish politician of the Liberalerna (L, dt. The Liberals ) and was integration minister in the Fredrik Reinfeldt government from October 5, 2010 to October 3, 2014 .

Erik Ullenhag was born in Uppsala in 1972. He studied political science for one year at Uppsala University in 1992 . In 1993 he studied French for a year at the University of Marseille and in 1996 at the Minnesota Law School in the USA . In 1998 he obtained a master's degree in law from Uppsala University. In 2002 he also completed a commercial apprenticeship.

From 1989 to 2002 Ullenhag was a member of the Uppsala City Council. He did his military service as a paramedic in 1992 and worked part-time for an unemployment insurance company from 1993 to 1997. Between 1997 and 1999 Ullenhag was President of Liberala Ungdomsförbundet , the young party of the Liberal People's Party. In 1999 he also worked in the party office of the Liberal People's Party. From 1999 to 2001 Erik Ullenhag was a clerk at the District Court of Linköping and from 2001 to 2002 he worked as a secretary in the Swedish Foreign Ministry. In 2002 he was elected to the Swedish parliament , where he was a member of the committee for new working time and vacation models. From 2002 to 2006 he was also president of the local People's Party in Uppsala. From 2006 to 2010 Ullenhag was a member of the party leadership of the Folkspartiet liberalerna and from 2009 to 2010 once again a member of the Reichstag. Ullenhag has been the deputy chairman of the Liberal People's Party since 2010. From 2010 to 2014 he was Minister of Integration in the Fredrik Reinfeldt government's Ministry of Labor .
