The building is located directly at the port at the end of the A846 on Islay and is opposite the port of Askaig . In 2006 this monument ensemble was dissolved and it was recategorized as a single monument in category C.

description

The exact construction time of the building is not recorded, so that only the earlier 19th century can be given as the construction period. Architecturally, the warehouse corresponds to the traditional Scottish style. Five small windows are set in symmetrically along the front, just below the roof line. A large, simply designed entrance area enables goods to be stored. The facades of the building are plastered using the traditional Harling technique. Macbrane's Storehouse ends with a hipped roof .
