The Mackintosh Cove is a bay on the north coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located southeast of Fraser Point .
Participants in the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902–1904) led by the Scottish polar explorer William Speirs Bruce mapped the bay in 1903. Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations named it in 1933 as a result of their own measurements after the British marine biologist and oceanographer Neil Alison Mackintosh (1900– 1974), who was on the zoological staff of the Discovery Investigations Committee.
