The Maddox Peak is a 1,200 m high mountain on the Danco Coast of the West Antarctic Graham Lands . It rises east of the Bay of Flanders at the confluence of the Carbutt Glacier and the Goodwin Glacier .
The mountain is unnamed on an Argentine map from 1954. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the British photography pioneer Richard Leach Maddox (1816–1902), the inventor of the dry gelatin process in 1871.
