Sasaki Madoka
Sasaki Madoka ( Japanese 佐 々 木 望 ; born October 10, 1883 in Hiroshima , Japan ; died November 15, 1927 in Budapest , Hungary ) was a Japanese malacologist and university professor.
Life
Madoka Sasaki studied until July 1909 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Imperial University of Tokyo Zoology. In August 1909 he was appointed lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture and Fisheries of Tōhoku Imperial University . After a year, in August 1910, he was promoted to professor. The Imperial University of Hokkaidō emerged from his faculty on April 1, 1918 , where Sasaki continued to research and teach as a professor. In September 1919 he received his doctorate in natural sciences.
In early 1927 Sasaki was sent to Great Britain for a three-year study visit, he left Japan in March of that year. On November 15, 1927, he died of an illness in Budapest.
Madoka Sasaki was married to Nobuki Sasaki ( 佐 々 木 延 喜 Sasaki Nobuki ), the couple had a son and three daughters.
