Madras Rubber Factory (MRF) is a large craft company based in Chennai , India . MRF mainly produces vehicle tires and is India's largest tire manufacturer. Internationally, MRF is one of the eleven largest tire manufacturers and exports its products to 75 nations. Madras Rubber Factory was founded in 1946 by KM Mammen Mappillai and quickly grew into a company with annual sales of more than 30 million Indian rupees .

MRF has also opened up other fields of production through subsidiaries. For example, Funskool India is a joint venture between MRF and Hasbro and one of India's largest toy manufacturers. MRF also sponsors cricket as the MRF Pace Foundation and supports a number of cricketers. For example, MRF is a sponsor of Brian Lara , Sachin Tendulkar and formerly also of the Australian Steve Waugh .
