Maen Llwyd

Maen Llwyd (also called Twyb Du) is a menhir ( English standing stone ) southeast of Talgarth near Brecon in Powys in Wales . With this name ( German  "gray stone" ) there are other stones in Wales: Maen Llwyd (Commins Coch), Maen Llwyd (Llandyfaelog), Maen Llwyd (Llansteffan) , Maen Llwyd (Machynlleth), Maen Llwyd (Rhosdyrnog), Maen Llwyd (St Ishmail).

Maen Llwyd

Maen Llwyd von Talgarth stands in the open moor on the edge of a terrace on the upper slopes of the distinctive Gadair Fawr ridge. The stone is 2.15 m high, 0.95 m wide and 0.35 m thick. Several packing stones are visible around its base.
