Park Chul-min (born January 18, 1967 in Gwangju , South Korea ) is a South Korean actor who is best known for his supporting roles in numerous successful films.

Career

While in high school , Park joined the theater club. After several small roles in various films, he had his breakthrough in 2004 with the film Mokpo, Gangster's Paradise and the television drama Immortal Admiral Yi Sun-sin . Since then he has risen to become one of the most prolific supporting actors in South Korean cinema .

In 2014, Park starred in Another Promise , a film adaptation of the story of a father fighting for compensation for his deceased daughter. She is said to have developed leukemia from her work in a semiconductor factory at Samsung Electronics . Samsung proposed ten billion won compensation , but the father decided to file a lawsuit. It was the first time in Korea that an individual a lawsuit against a conglomerate ( chaebol won). The film was funded by crowdfunding .
