He Knows No Mercy (Original Title: Revenger ) is a South Korean action film from 2018. Directed by Lee Seung-won. The script is by Bruce Khan , who also plays the lead role. For Lee it is the first directorial work and for Khan the first leading role. The film opened in South Korean cinemas on December 6, 2018 and was released internationally on Netflix on January 15, 2019 .

Kim Yul was a police officer. But his wife and daughter were murdered by Kuhn. This is brought to a prison island for felons. In order to get revenge, Yul soon comes to the island. There he can first save the girl Jin and her mother from Kuhn's people on the beach. He learns that one day Kuhn came to the island and challenged everyone. He and his people killed anyone who would not follow him. Jin's father too.

Jin takes him to a safe village, but is not welcomed with joy. People are skeptical. Jin's mother Maly also recognizes him as the policeman who brought her to the island even though she was pregnant. He soon leaves the village to find Kuhn. But Jin follows him; she knows the way. But she is kidnapped. However, Yul can pursue the kidnappers and take out Kuhn's people. However, one escapes and tells Kuhn that someone is looking for him. He immediately remembers policeman Yul and sends his people.

Meanwhile, Yul sends Jin back. Shortly afterwards, Maly and the others find Yul because they are looking for Jin. However, this was tracked down by Kuhn's people. Yul arrives in time and is able to protect her, but is injured. Maly and the others bring him back to the village to see Ipa to heal him. However, the village captain was captured by Kuhn's men. They would leave the village alone if they hand Yul over. However, the people followed the captain into the village and killed almost everyone. Finally, Yul wakes up and can just protect Maly and Jin.

The way to Kuhn is now free. In a tough final battle, he can kill Kuhn.
