Maestro Arsenio
Maestro Arsenio was a goldsmith and medalist who worked in Rome between 1554 and 1556 and was probably of Greek descent. This is evidenced by several documents from the years 1554 and 1556, in which payments for work performed are notarized. Works by his hand cannot be proven with certainty, but it is believed that he is identical to the author of two medals dated 1550, depicting the poet Giovanni Bressani and the noble Antonio Navagero from Venice, both signed APCEN . The master's full name is unknown.
