Maestro Leonardo is a board game by the quartet of authors Acchittocca ( Antonio Tinto , Flaminia Brasini , Stefano Luperto , Virginio Gigli ) for two to five players. The game was published by da Vinci Games (dV Games), the German-language edition was published by Abacusspiele in 2006 .

The player has the task of doing various research assignments. He has to invest economically, earn play money and procure raw materials to ensure research.

In October 2007, it was one of the four board games played at the European Board Game Championship .

Names

In the Italian original and in most countries, the title of the game is Leonardo da Vinci. After legal disputes over the naming rights, the game was renamed Maestro Leonardo in Germany.

Small extensions

In the meantime, two small extensions with the names Codex Leonardi II and Codex Leonardi III have appeared. The first was presented at the Essen fair in October 2006 and given away to buyers of the game. The same was done with the second expansion in October 2007.
