Mafunzo FC
The Mafunzo FC is an established in 1970 sansibarischer football club. He plays his home games at the 15,000-seat Amman Stadium .
In 2005 you could win the national cup, the Copa Mapinduzi , for the first time . The club plays in the domestic Premier League . While they always stayed in the midfield of the league for some seasons, the team grew steadily upwards. In 2009 they won their first championship title, followed by two more in 2011 and 2015. This qualified them three times for the African competitions, but were always eliminated in the first round.
