Magdalena Środa
Magdalena Środa (born January 7, 1957 in Warsaw ) is a Polish philosopher , professor of ethics at Warsaw University and a liberal feminist . She is also a journalist for the " Gazeta Wyborcza ". From 2004 to 2005 she was the representative for equal treatment of women and men in the government of Marek Belka .
She studied philosophy 1976–1981 at the University of Warsaw , 1981–1982 she wrote her doctoral thesis there. 1982–1991 she worked first as an assistant, then as an adjunct at the Chair of Ethics at the Philosophical Institute of Warsaw University. She currently holds the post of associate professor.
Magdalena Środa is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences .
