The Magen Abraham Synagogue (Abraham's coat of arms) in Ahmedabad , the fifth largest city in India in the state of Gujarat , was built in 1933/34, 5694 according to the Jewish calendar . The orthodox synagogue was built with financial support from the Beni Israel ( Sons of Israel ).

The Art Deco style synagogue is classified as a cultural monument. The bima is in the middle of the prayer room. The women's gallery is self-supporting.
