Magyar AC Budapest , Magyar AC for short , is a Hungarian sports club from Budapest . It was founded in 1875 and dissolved in 1945. In 1988 it was re-established. The football department played from 1903 to 1923 a total of 17 years in the first Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság .

The Magyar Athletikai Club ( German- Hungarian Athletics Club ) was founded in 1875. The football division founded in 1895 rose in 1903 to the highest Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság . He belonged to this without interruption for 17 seasons until the 1922/23 season . The club was able to celebrate its greatest successes with the vice championships in 1906/07 and 1908/09 . In 1945 it disbanded.
In 1988 the club was re-established and had an ice hockey department between 1989 and 1993, now known as MAC Budapest .
