history

The vehicle was presented in September 2011. The XUV 500 is built in Chakan, India and Nashik, India . The SUV has also been available on some markets in Europe (including Austria, Spain, France and Italy) since 2014, but not on the German market. The car is available as a five- or seven-seater and with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Technical specifications

The vehicle was initially only available with a 2.2-liter diesel engine. A 2.2-liter gasoline engine was also introduced at the end of 2017 .

Motorsport

The XUV 500 secured first place at the Desert Storm Rally 2014 in India. The car also set the fastest time in three sections of the rally.
