May beetle meeting
The May beetle meeting is since 1983 annually on May 1 instead-find meeting for lovers of cars from the manufacturer Volkswagen , mainly the VW Beetle .
However, all other air-cooled Volkswagen models such as VW Type 3 , VW 411 / VW 412 , VW bus and Karmann-Ghia were quickly added and gradually formed one of the largest scene meetings in the world. In addition to the air-cooled classics, more and more Bullis are coming from the VW T3 , the last rear-wheel drive VW bus that has not been built in Europe since 1992.
At the meeting, fans of air-cooled VWs show their vehicles. Private individuals and dealers sell new and used parts as well as fan articles on an affiliated market.
After the original venue in Altwarmbüchen had become too small for the regularly over 3000 vehicles, it is now taking place with great success on the east car park of the Hanover exhibition center .
