Maik Meyer

Maik Meyer (* 1970 in Frauenstein , Erzgebirge ) is a German amateur astronomer and "comet expert".

Life dates

Meyer studied mechanical engineering at the TU Chemnitz and lives today (2016) in Hesse .

He discovered the Meyer group (comet group) named after him and is co-author of "Cometography", the most comprehensive comet catalog - founded by Gary W. Kronk .

Honor

The asteroid (52005) Maik was named after him.
