The Major John Burrowes Mansion (also known as Enchanted Castle ) is a historic mansion in Matawan , in Monmouth County in the US state of New Jersey , in the United States . The property, built in 1732, is at 94 Main Street and is now privately owned.

The walls are clad in wood and the roof is finished with bitumen shingles. Other building materials are brick and wood .

The Major John Burrowes Mansion was listed on September 29, 1972 by the National Register of Historic Places with the number 72000803 as a Monument of Historic Relevance. The mansion now houses a private museum.
