Makoto Atsuta ( Japanese 熱 田 眞 , Atsuta Makoto ; born September 16, 1976 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Atsuta learned to play soccer on the school team at Teikyo High School and the college team at Kokushikan University . He signed his first contract with the Kyoto Purple Sanga in 1999 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 2000 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2001 he became champions of the J2 League with the club and rose again to the J1 League. In 2002 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . For the club he completed 91 games. In August 2003 he was loaned to the second division club Albirex Niigata . In 2004 he returned to Kyoto Purple Sanga . At the end of 2004 he ended his career as a soccer player.
