Makoto Sugiyama ( Japanese 杉山 誠 , Sugiyama Makoto ; born May 17, 1960 in Fujieda ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

society

Sugiyama played for the Tokyo University of Agriculture in his youth . He started his career at Nissan Motors , where he played from 1983 to 1991. He contributed to winning the Japan Soccer League in 1988/89 and 1989/90 . He then played with Kashima Antlers (1991-1993) and Kyoto Purple Sanga (1994-1996). In 1996 he ended his playing career.

National team

With the Japanese national team , he qualified for the 1979 World Junior Cup .
