Makuti

Makuti is an inhabited place at an altitude of 1100 m in the province of Mashonaland West in Zimbabwe . It is a secluded and small place on the road from Chirundu on the border with Zambia to Chinhoyi . From Makuti, a road leads to Kariba and the dam.

The economy of Makuti is somewhat determined by the national parks of the adjacent valley of the Zambezi , on the upper limit of which the place lies. There is a safari hotel. Cordierite is mined nearby .

Makuti has a private, 1,000 m long runway.
