Makyla Smith

Makyla Smith (born 1982 in Canada ) is a Canadian actress . She is an environmental studies student at York University in Toronto .

Career

Makyla's television debut took place from 1998 to 1999 with three guest roles in the series The Famous Jett Jackson . In 2000 she got her first lead role in the television film Dear America: Color Me Dark , with her mother Alison Sealy-Smith. Two guest roles later ( Animorphs and Caitlin's Way , both 2000), she got the role of Daphne Chanders in Queer as Folk . Further film and television assignments followed. Makyla also played on the MTV show The New Girl and gave her voice to numerous cartoon characters and characters in radio plays.
