The Malczewski Point ( English ; Polish Przylądek Malczewskiego ) is a headland on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies in front of the front of the Matejko Icefall on the shores of Legru Bay and marks the northeast boundary of the entrance to Painters Cove .
Polish scientists named it in 1980 after the Polish painter Jacek Malczewski (1854–1929).
